Plan your small business website around the next step

Before comparing quotes, write one sentence: “A good visitor should be able to understand our service and then ____.” The answer might be request an estimate, arrange a consultation or ask about availability. That action helps determine the pages and features you actually need.

For example, a Colorado Springs contractor offering one focused service may begin with a single page that explains the work, shows approved project photos and provides an inquiry form. A business with several distinct services may need separate pages so customers can find the right information. These are planning examples; the smallest package is not automatically the right fit.

Small business website costs: our package prices

These are Colo Web Studio’s published build prices, checked October 14, 2026. They are our offers, not an estimate of what every Colorado designer charges.

  • Landing Page — $299: one WordPress page, up to six content sections and two revision rounds. A focused option for one offer and one main next step.
  • Basic Business Website — $999: up to five pages and three revision rounds. Useful when services, business background and contact information need their own pages.
  • Professional Business Website — $2,499: up to fifteen pages and five revision rounds. More room for dedicated services, projects and supporting information.
  • Bigger Projects — starting at $4,999: a custom scope with 50% upfront. The starting price is not a quote for every custom feature.

Each standard package includes its stated initial on-page SEO work. See the complete package comparison for the deliverables. Initial SEO setup does not include a continuing article campaign, paid advertising or a promise of search rankings.

Website costs after launch: hosting, tools and care

Compare small business website costs in two columns: the one-time project and the ongoing costs of operating the site. Domain registration, WordPress-compatible hosting and paid third-party tools are separate from our build prices. Ask about renewal prices as well as introductory offers. For hosting compatibility, compare the provider’s plan with the official WordPress requirements.

  • Domain: who registers it, who controls renewal and whose account owns it?
  • Hosting: does it support the proposed website, and what happens if you later change providers?
  • Paid tools: are booking, ecommerce or other licenses needed, and who pays to renew them?
  • Maintenance: what specific tasks are included and how are extra requests handled?

Our optional maintenance is $99 per month for websites we build. We agree on the included tasks and response expectations before the plan begins. Maintenance is separate from hosting and from a one-time website project.

The details that change a proposal

A five-page count does not describe every possible five-page project. Writing content from scratch, moving a large existing site, organizing a project library or connecting a third-party system can change the work. Tell the designer which text, photographs and brand assets are ready, and identify what still needs to be created.

A simple page list is a useful starting document. Beside each page, write its purpose, the content owner and any special function. For an existing website, also list important URLs that should be kept or redirected. Ask what is included in the quote rather than assuming a feature comes with a package name.

A practical comparison: “Home, Services, Projects, About and Contact; we supply approved text and photos; the designer builds the contact form” is easier to quote than “a modern website that does everything.”

Compare the agreement, not just the total

Ask each provider the same questions: What counts as a revision round? Who supplies the content? What requires a separate quote? When do payments become due? What access will I receive, and what recurring costs remain after launch?

Our Landing Page, Basic and Professional website packages require no upfront payment; you pay when you are 100% satisfied with the agreed new website. Bigger Projects require 50% upfront. You receive full website access after final payment. SEO and redesign payment terms are confirmed with their agreed scope.

If you already have a usable website, a new build may not be the first step. Our redesign options are $999 for up to five pages or $150 per hour for agreed hourly work. One-time SEO is $499 for an agreed set of improvements. Use the redesign decision guide to clarify which problem you need to solve.
